I love these paddle boats
that you can take into the lake
by the Houston Zoo.

I haven't ridden in one
for years and years.
But it is fun to watch people
try to get around in them.

And to photograph the reflections!

I just love lilies!
Mercer has a lot of variety
that are showing their
pretty faces in the early summer.

A piece from my Zen Moments portfolio, In The Garden series.

These sunflowers were just
wonderful last weekend!

They were great standing
against the sky as well
as close ups of the details
of their petals and centers.

A piece from my Zen Moments portfolio, In The Garden series.

There were a number
of wonderful succulent
plants at the Garden.

For some reason,
these caught my eye
more than ever before!

A piece from my Zen Moments portfolio, In The Garden series.

It has been a while since
I posted to this series.

Went out last weekend with
my Miksang Photography group
and shot around Mercer Arboretum.

There was wonderful light
when we arrived
and all these beautiful
spider webs on the flowers
and plants!

A piece from my Zen Moments portfolio - more fog & boats!

The fog eventually began
to break up a bit at the
surface of the water.

But up where the pelicans
were flying, it was still very thick
I wonder how they see
where to fly in
the fog!

A piece from my Zen Moments portfolio, Friends In The Garden series.

More from my trip to Mercer.

Hint: look on the right side of the plant!

We used to call these
little guys "rolly pollies"
back in MO when I was a kid.
You can find them by that name
on Google!

A piece from my Zen Moments portfolio, Friends In The Garden series.

From my trip to Mercer.
It was amazing to review
my photos and see how many
actually contained little buggy friends!

Here is  one that may take
you some time to find them
with their wonderful camouflage.

Hint: look on the right side of the plant!

A piece from my Zen Moments portfolio -
a departure from the Garden photos!

On the island looking for
abstract boat images,
but the fog rolled in and
this was one of the
wonderful images
I brought home.

News series FeatherFest 2015.

This is my second favorite
shot from the trip.

This heron seemed to be waiting
oh so patiently for the
fisherman to bring in
the fish and
give him breakfast!
