Spring is bursting out all over and I love finding little creatures in the beautiful blooms.  These were taken on a trip to the Tyler, Texas Azalea Trails in late March.  Somehow the close up of life in these small blooms can be amazing.

Fun time shooting at the

MCGOVERN CENTENNIAL GARDENS at HERMANN PARK

with my Miksang group.

They have a lovely rose garden

with a number of different

types of roses.

The doves were fling around
cooing and providing a
lovely soothing sound
track to the wonderful morning shoot!

Roses in Bloom at Hermann Park - Original Photography by Texas Contemporary Artist Denise Bossarte

I got a new camera this week so I took advantage of the slightly overcast weather to try it out. The roses are blooming in Hermann Park and were a perfect challenge for the new lens.

Really like the camera and the flexibility I have with the focus, even on basic camera settings.

Thanks to my husband for helping me purchase the new camera and lenses!!
